Ksubi eyewear’s 2012 “WAR” collection is now available.
The collection, fittingly entitled “WAR”, is by far our favorite Ksubi offering to date. There’s a fresh modern aesthetic created which is both raw and refined. It effortlessly fuses ideas and techniques from classic steam punk, traditional biker, fashion, street and sports.
From modern military aviators with different textures(“Cisco”) to “winged” cat-eye frames(“Rana”), the range presents an array of one of a kind styles which are fashion forward yet remain very clean and wearable.

It presents just the right balance of hard versus soft elements and simplicity in the overall shape, to create a technical but very wearable frame which works well on most faces.
This classic aviator shape is given a modern militaristic feel through several well structured details, blending steal, leather, and acetate into a single standout frame. The Cisco has side shields with luxury leather detailing to help keep out the sun or wind, luxury leather detailing at the bridge, and grated metal detailing at the temples. While this may seem quite complex, it is actually quite simple on the face, the mark of great execution.
The ATLAS is Ksubis modern take on explorer goggles. It features all of the same textured metal and leather detailing as the above Cisco but in a unisex round shape.
The instantly recognizable and devilishly flirtatious Rana, is an over sized cat-eye with winged tips. Available in classic black, as well as a signature Ksubi Leopard with contrasting mismatched colored temples.
The Kappa is a glossy black acetate aviator which gets its form from the attached silver metal clip on.
One of Ksubi’s all time best selling styles is updated this season in a hot three-tone colorway: leopard and black split front paired with crystal brown temples.
The Volans is a modern twist on a cat-eye style, for those familiar think a mini Karen Walker Number One as an eyeglass. Available in classic black, as well as a crystal brown with contrasting crystal red temples.
The Bootes is an optical version of one of Ksubi’s all time favorite sun shapes the Bellatrix.
