The line has grown its fashion-forward models to include more glossy frame finishes in beautiful colors like aqua, black cherry, chocolate, caramel, leopard, onyx and amethyst. Each frame includes a patented system that lets you adjust the ear pieces so the eyewear fits your head exactly.
Cocoons Fitovers are the sunglasses that make sun protection and anti-glare eye comfort so convenient for people who wear eyeglasses. (And for people who need special tints for various vision conditions.)
And the mirror lens options have expanded from blue and green to gold, silver and rose.
The collection includes scratch-resistant lenses in both polarized and non-polarized tints. Each pair of sunglasses includes a neoprene case, large lens cloth and a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.
Costa’s Newest Style Inspired By South Pacific Islanders
May 2016 — Costa has released a new style inspired by South Pacific islanders and their ability to live sustainably. Called “Copra,” after the word for dried, chopped coconut that is pressed for oil, the sunglass is made of a bio-based resin sourced from the castor plant, which is a sustainable and hardy perennial.
The company says the material is very durable and light. And it holds its shape in both very hot and very cold temperatures — important for anglers and other outdoorsy types.
Copra’s large lens size offers great sun protection, and the frame has integral hinges and soft nose pads for comfort.
Several colors are available, including the matte coconut fade shown here and also three-layer color combinations. And several glare-reducing polarized lens options are available, so you can choose the color and finish that are right for you.
Isaac Mizrahi’s New Sunglass Collection Reflects His Fun-Loving Style
April 2016 — Colorful, bold, inventive, witty: these adjectives all apply to Isaac Mizrahi’s fashion designs, and they apply equally to his new collection of sunglasses for women.
These styles are as wearable and fun as Mizrahi’s clothing, in colors that range from classic black and tortoise to on-trend hues like navy, burgundy, beige, gray, green, white and pink.
Most of the shades are framed in chunky plastic, though a few have slimmer silhouettes or metal components.
The shapes are classic, including feminine cat-eyes, preppy P3s and big Jackie Os. Each style comes in three or four colors, and you’ll find them in optical stores and department stores nationwide.
Men’s Aviator Sunglass By Spine Has Strong Industrial Style
April 2016 — Spine has released its spring sunglasses for men, and we are in love with the strong, masculine silhouettes with industrial style.
Our sunglass of the month is the Spine SP7002, shown here in brown gradient, a brilliant combination of textures, colors and patterns that pairs well with both sporty and business attire.
The aviator front features the keyhole bridge that is trending now, and the lenses are polarized with back-side green anti-reflective coating. The style also comes in black.
All Spine frames and sunglasses have patented micro-injection metal hinge and cable systems, so the temples can flex or hug your face as needed. They are available in optical stores nationwide.

The Synform has so many great features for athletes: interchangeable lenses for various light conditions, venting to combat fogging, fully adjustable temple tips and lightweight materials. Plus it’s prescription-friendly.
Five photochromic lens colors are available, so depending on the light, the lenses will change to black, laser black, red, laser red or laser brown.
And — we love this — the Synform folds into a compact case that fits anywhere, even in the back of a cycling jersey. So cool.
You can try them on at any authorized Rudy Project dealer.
Jared Leto, the Face of the New Carrera Maverick Collection
February 2016 — This month we’re loving the new Carrera Maverick collection, currently promoted by risk-taking actor, musician and director Jared Leto.

The collection includes three eyeglass frames, as well. Many color options are available for both frames and sun lenses, and the collection contains both male and unisex models.
Two New Costa Styles for a More Relaxing View on the Water
April 2015 — Costa has released two new metal sunglasses that evoke the relaxed yet sporty style of the beaches of Baja California.
“Palapa,” shown here, was named after those thatched sun shelters on Mexican beaches. It has a squared-off shape with silicone nose pads and comes in palladium, gunmetal, rose gold and palladium with crystal red temples.
“Loreto,” named after the Mexican town known for sport fishing, is a medium-sized aviator in Monel metal with nylon arms, silicone nose pads and hypoallergenic rubberized temple tips to prevent slipping. Frame colors include palladium with white temples, gunmetal with black temples, rose gold and gunmetal with crystal temples.
Both come in an array of polarized lens options, in plastic or glass, to enhance your ability to see fish in the water and sunny scenery.
Dior’s High-Fashion Future Shock
March 2015 — DiorTechnologic was created as a futuristic sunglass collection for the Dior Summer 2015 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show.
The shape is ultra-modern with flat lenses and open-worked metal fronts. The shininess of the mirrored lenses and metals contrast with the black acetate temples.
DiorTechnologic sunglasses for women are available with silver, gold or black frames, with mirrored, dark gray, blue or brown lenses depending on the frame.
